"These are amazing. Thank you so much for documenting our special day. These will help us to remember everything for a long, long time to come!" I knew as soon as we had our first cuppa together that I was going to be in for a visual treat with this wedding.  Both Jen and Dan come from a theatrical background and had decided that they were going to stage a show to be remembered!  As we left 2019 and leapt into 2020 they had fallen upon the perfect theme - a fabulous Gatsby-esque 1920s party thrown at the gorgeous Mill Barns in Alveley. Every last detail had been considered and there were To View More >>

Kate was fantastic from day 1. She’s kind and down to earth and made us feel so comfortable. She was always willing to go that extra mile and even managed to find us a second photographer for the big day. We had an engagement shoot and she was so amazing. Didn’t make us do any ‘silly’ poses, just let us be ourselves. I couldn’t recommend Kate enough. Both her and Sam that we had on the day were amazing, they captured photos that I wouldn’t have even thought would be magic moments but my gosh they are wonderful. Thank you for being the best person for the day, To View More >>

Will it rain on my wedding day? What on earth do we do if it does? We happen to live in one of the greenest, most beautiful countries in Europe and it's mainly because of our rain/sunshine combo! So the chance of rain even on that summer saturday in August is high - at least 50/50. So what should you do? Here are some of my recent brides top tips; 1. Embrace it. You've got a fab venue, laugh, love and nip outside when you can for photos. If you are positive, your guests will be - happiness is infectious it spreads. 2. Have lots of clear brollies at the ready. As a photographer I always carry a To View More >>

Katy and Ollie are like 99% of us - not sure at all about having their photograph taken!  So we decided it would be a good idea to go for a stroll in Sutton park, get to know each other and let them get used to being trailed by a camera before their wedding day.  Apparently they have shared all the funny 'outtakes' with friends and family (I love this!) But just to reassure everyone here are my favourite ones that aren't quite as crazy.... ok so a few of my fave funny looks have snuck in..... I couldn't quite resitst!  If you speak to Katy nicely I'm sure she'll show you the rest To View More >>

So at the end of last year I photographed the gorgeous Helen and Chris on their wedding day.  They chose St Peter's Church in Powick for their marriage ceremony, followed by the gorgeous and intimate  Elmslie House for their reception.  Elmslie House is a grade II listed family home where they open the ground floor to music events, craft fairs and other events including weddings!  The large main area allowed for the guests to sit in long 'Harry Potter' style dining tables whilst there were still other areas to mooch off to for some quiet time.  Despite it's age, the house To View More >>

As some of you will know my first career before photography was producing and directing documentaries and factual  television so when one of my fave programes 'Countryfile' asked me to follow them for a couple of days and capture behind the scenes photographs of their team at work I was thrilled! I still have super fond memories of (the one and only) John Craven having a cuppa in my kitchen before I drove him off to location.  I can still see my (usually very composed) hubby's face as John introduced himself  'Hello I'm John, John Craven' - the hubster just looked wide eyed To View More >>

"We wanted an alternative to the typical 1st birthday photo shoots and wanted honest, true and natural photos of her and us as a family to document the day. . . and the results are stunning. We were slightly nervous about having someone taking photos of us on our little family day out but we need not have worried at all as we hardly noticed she was there really. Honestly can not recommend or thank Kate enough. A true professional skilled in her line of work" When Vicky messaged me and asked if I'd join them at Ash End house Farm for a birthday day out I leapt at the opportunity! Can't wait for this pair's big day!  We caught up on one of the crisp winter mornings we've had recently for a wander around Sutton Park and an engagement shoot. I’m often asked what an engagement shoot is and I'd say it's a chance for us to get to know each other better, maybe go for a cuppa, have a giggle and get some fabulous photos to boot! On your actual wedding day, you will be seeing a fair bit of me - dashing around with a couple of cameras, various lenses and possibly a step ladder - so spending some time getting to know each other and practising having a camera following you To View More >>

How lucky have we been with the weather this winter? Amit, Seema and I decided to take advantage of this mild spell and hit Coombe Abbey in Coventry just a week ago for some tea, wedding chat and a little engagement session thrown in for good measure! The sun was low, bright and warm which meant we managed to get rid of our coats and take a wander outside.  If you haven't yet visited Coombe - do! It's a little gem of a place with fabulous grounds to explore. An engagement session is always a good way to do something fun before heading into weeks of planning that naturally comes with weddings!  To View More >>

As we  begin to canter through 2019 I just want to say a massive thank you to all the brides and grooms that have welcomed me into their lives and trusted me to document their weddings in 2018. I’ve had THE best time with your fabulous families and a few firsts this year; a Hindu ceremony, sheep cakes, dogs as flower bearers, kickboxing grooms and jäger bomb dominoes! Plus there’s been the usual things I love about your days; wonderful speeches, many tears, much laughter and a bunch of awesome party people! Here’s a little round up of some of my highlights. I did a video To View More >>
