"These are amazing. Thank you so much for documenting our special day. These will help us to remember everything for a long, long time to come!" I knew as soon as we had our first cuppa together that I was going to be in for a visual treat with this wedding. Both Jen and Dan come from a theatrical background and had decided that they were going to stage a show to be remembered! As we left 2019 and leapt into 2020 they had fallen upon the perfect theme - a fabulous Gatsby-esque 1920s party thrown at the gorgeous Mill Barns in Alveley. Every last detail had been considered and there To View More >>
Ahhh Jon and Jodie! What a day! I have had the fabulous good fortune to photograph many different faiths and types of marriage ceremonies over the years; from hand fasting to Hindu ceremonies, from 300+ guest gatherings to quiet elopements with just the parents along for the ride. However up until now I had never photographed a private picnic for two! This special day started with a ceremony in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses near to their home town in Burton on Trent and afterwards we were whisked off to Melbourne Gardens in Derbyshire which they had hired for out for To View More >>
Kate was fantastic from day 1. She’s kind and down to earth and made us feel so comfortable. She was always willing to go that extra mile and even managed to find us a second photographer for the big day. We had an engagement shoot and she was so amazing. Didn’t make us do any ‘silly’ poses, just let us be ourselves. I couldn’t recommend Kate enough. Both her and Sam that we had on the day were amazing, they captured photos that I wouldn’t have even thought would be magic moments but my gosh they are wonderful. Thank you for being the best person for the day, To View More >>
Will it rain on my wedding day? What on earth do we do if it does? We happen to live in one of the greenest, most beautiful countries in Europe and it's mainly because of our rain/sunshine combo! So the chance of rain even on that summer saturday in August is high - at least 50/50. So what should you do? Here are some of my recent brides top tips; 1. Embrace it. You've got a fab venue, laugh, love and nip outside when you can for photos. If you are positive, your guests will be - happiness is infectious it spreads. 2. Have lots of clear brollies at the ready. As a photographer I always carry a To View More >>
So at the end of last year I photographed the gorgeous Helen and Chris on their wedding day. They chose St Peter's Church in Powick for their marriage ceremony, followed by the gorgeous and intimate Elmslie House for their reception. Elmslie House is a grade II listed family home where they open the ground floor to music events, craft fairs and other events including weddings! The large main area allowed for the guests to sit in long 'Harry Potter' style dining tables whilst there were still other areas to mooch off to for some quiet time. Despite it's age, the house To View More >>
